Custom Design FAQs

CUSTOM JEWELRY PROCESS AND FAQ

Please note: due to the high demand for Candace's designs, and the thought and care that goes into each custom piece, there is a minimum price for all custom projects. 

How do I get started with a custom design?

To start with a custom project, please fill out this form. From there, Candace will reach out to discuss budget, materials, and next steps. Design consultations may be required depending on the complexity of the piece required. These consultations are $100 and last approximately an hour, and take place at Candace's MD studio or via Skype. 

How long do custom pieces take?

Please allow 6-8 weeks for all custom pieces. Rush order requests are evaluated on a case by case basis and will be subject to a surcharge. 

Can I provide my own stones?

Yes! All clients hoping to use their own stones will need to send photos of the stones as well as detailed information about stone type, carat weight, any certifications (GIA, AGL, etc) and current mounting. Stone requests are approved on a case by case basis, and an additional fee will be charged (price determined with client depending on the stone). 

Do you reuse gold from other pieces?

At this time, I do not reuse gold provided by a customer for new pieces. 

How will you send my jewelry?

Jewelry can be picked up in-person, or mailed. All mailed items will be send through USPS, Fedex, or UPS, and will be insured based on the retail value of the piece. A signature will be required for all mailed items.
